International Chemistry Conference chaired by Prof. Gábor Lente
The 3rd International Conference on Reaction Kinetics, Mechanisms and Catalysis was organized in Budapest between 22 and 25 May chaired by Gábor Lente, the director of the Chemistry Institute at the Faculty of Sciences.
The meeting was first held in 2018 in co-operation with the scientific journal Reaction Kinetics, Mechanisms and Catalysis, whose Editor-in-Chief is Gábor Lente. The event attracted about 60 participants this year, all five continents were represented. 23 oral lectures and another 23 posters were presented at the conference.
The faculty members and students of the Chemistry Institute of the Faculty Sciences published 7 posters at the 3rd International Conference on Reaction Kinetics, Mechanisms and Catalysis conference:
- Palladium-catalysed hydroaminocarbonylation of olefins with aliphatic amines without additives (Fanni Bede, László Kollár, Nándor Lambert, Péter Huszthy, Péter Pongrácz)
- Photochemical processes in aqueous benzoquinone and anthraquinone solutions (Krisztina Csonka, Katalin Ősz)
- Photochemical study of the reaction between 2,3-dimethoxy-5-methyl-pbenzoquinone and water (Erik Imre, Katalin Ősz)
- Photochemical decomposition of sodium anthraquinone-sulfonate in aqueous solution (Panna Lukács, Katalin Ősz)
- A kinetic study of the photooxidation of water by aqueous cerium(IV) in perchloric and nitric acids (Ildikó Rapp-Kindner, Katalin Ősz)
- The kinetics of a generalized nucleation-growth type model (Rebeka Szabó, Gábor Lente)
- Two-dimensional electrochemical imaging of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction using a microelectrode (András Kiss, Szilárd Szili)
