E-mail

Students, lecturers, and staff of the Faculty of Sciences can obtain an e-mail account on the Faculty's mail server named gamma by filling out the application form available at the office E/217 (or downloadable here). A Neptun ID and photo ID are required for the application.

If you forget your password, you will need to present photo ID to retrieve it!

The gamma mail server can be used via POP3S and IMAPS protocols, as well as two types of web interface:

• For greater security, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on the mail system. For more information, see the instructions here.
• We provide POP3S and IMAPS services for lecturers. Additional registration is required to use these services, please contact us for more information.
• The vacation function and spam filtering can be customized on the Hercules interface.
• If you receive spam in your gamma mailbox, please forward the email as an attachment to k so that we can analyze it and block the sender. We cannot analyze emails that are not forwarded as attachments!
